It’s hard to believe that this is Caroline’s first acting role in the group as since she has joined she has been indispensable. First as a stand-in and then immediately a hard working committee member who gets things done. Looking forward to seeing Caroline on the stage.
How long have you been with The Curtain Callers (formerly Churchdown Players)?
I joined officially around April/May 2022.
Can’t quite believe it’s almost been 2 whole years, but then a LOT has happened since then… such as the name change for one!
Have you been in any other drama groups?
I have not. I’ve wanted to get into drama / singing for a very, very long time, but never had the courage or motivation.
Sometimes you get to ‘an age’ and you just think, what the heck are you (not) doing - get on with it!!
Can you remember the first production you were in and who you played?
I was a last-minute stand-in for our Variety Show back in 2022 called Happy Days Are Here Again.
I sang just the one song, three nights in a row. Can’t remember when I was quite as nervous before, but I loved it!
What has been your favourite character that you have played?
Time will tell! So far I have very little to call on… but I was an Angel in a school play when I was about 5 and all I remember is that I got to borrow my friend’s absolutely beautiful chiffon white dress. One happy kid!!
Is there a specific production you would love to be in?
Anything with singing I would absolutely love. Wouldn’t mind trying a dance either…. The future is open now I have taken the plunge! I do love a comedy though.
Who do you play in ‘Out of Focus’ and can you tell us a little about your character?
My character is called Sue Dixon. She is a calm, diligent woman who likes to try to resolve conflicts between others. A team-player, she is mostly patient, but doesn’t take any nonsense!
